The play described below is provided for your review and discussion. The rulings given are based on NFHS rules. NCAA rulings may be different.

The fourth quarter ends with Team A winning by a score of 52-51.  After the quarter has ended, the coach of Team A is charged with a technical foul for questioning the visual acuity of one official before the officials have left the visual confines of the gym.

Handle the situation.


Since the outcome of the free throws could determine who wins the game or if an overtime period will be necessary, the penalty for this technical foul is administered immediately.  The outcome of the free throws will determine who will win the game or if an overtime period will be necessary.
