The play described below is provided for your review and discussion. The rulings given are based on NFHS rules. NCAA rulings may be different.

A-1 has four fouls.  Three are personal fouls and one is a technical foul for unsporting conduct.  A-1 is whistled for a player control foul.  Immediately after the whistle has sounded, A-1 is charged with another technical foul for unsporting conduct.  

Handle the situation.


Although A-1 has five fouls when the technical foul is assessed, A-1 is not bench personnel since the head coach has not yet been notified of his disqualification.  No indirect technical will be charged to the head coach.  Team B will be awarded two free throws and the ball at the division line opposite the table for a designated for throw-in.

    Very Interesting Play. We must correctly handle this Foul Situation, as not administered
    correctly could have a huge impact later in the Game.
