The play described below is provided for your review and discussion. The rulings given are based on NFHS rules. NCAA rulings may be different.

Prior to the bonus, B-1 commits a common foul against A-1.  A-1 retaliates by pushing B-1.  B-1 picks up the ball and throws it at A-1.  A-6, A-7 and A-8 leave the bench and come onto the floor as does B-6.  Cooler heads prevail and no fight takes place.

Handle the situation.

Team B will receive three team fouls.  One is for the common foul against A-1.  The second is for the technical foul against B-1 for throwing the ball at A-1.  The third is for B-6 leaving the bench.  B-6 is ejected as his foul is flagrant.  In addition, Team B’s coach receives an indirect technical foul for B-6 leaving the bench.  This results in the loss of the use of the coaching box.

Team A will receive four team fouls.  The first is for the technical foul against A-1 pushing B-1 during a dead ball.  The next three are for A-6, A-7 and A-8 leaving the bench.  All three are ejected.  The Team A coach receives one indirect technical foul for the three players leaving the bench and not participating in a fight.  Again, this results in the loss of the use of the coaching box.

Penalties are assessed in the order that the fouls occurred.

The common foul would have resulted in a designated spot throw-in for Team A.  The technical fouls against A-1 and B-1 are considered to be a double technical foul since they occurred at approximately the same time.  This is considered to be a point of interruption play.  No further penalties are assessed for these acts.

At this point Team A would have received the throw-in for the foul by B-1.  However, as far as team members leaving the bench, since Team A had more than Team B, one technical foul penalty is assessed.  Team B will attempt two free throws and will receive the ball for a designated spot throw-in from the division line opposite the table.

Another consideration with this play is the possibility of considering the throwing of the ball at A-1 as a combative act.  If so, then B-1 would be ejected.  A-1 would also be ejected under the fighting rule since his pushing of B-1 instigated the retaliation from  B-1.

This plays illustrates that some plays could legitimately be viewed in two different ways with different outcomes based on those views.  In the end, the judgement of the officials involved would determine whether or not A-1 and B-1 are ejected.
