A-1 is dribbling in the frontcourt when A-1 inadvertently steps across the division line into backcourt. A backcourt violation is ruled.
Handle the situation.
Team B will receive a designated spot throw-in. Since the violation occurred in Team B’s frontcourt (Team A’s backcourt), the throw-in will be from one of the four “magic spots” in the frontcourt. In this case, it will be from the sideline “magic spot” nearest to where the violation occurred.
