A-5 attempts to dunk the ball. The ball rattles the ring and pops up into the air above the basket. A-5 grabs the ring momentarily to steady himself. While holding the ring, the ball passes through the basket.
Handle the situation.
There is no technical foul on A-5 for grabbing the ring since he was protecting himself. However, there is also no goal. The attempted dunk was over when the ball jammed the rim and popped up into the air. The ball passing through the basket while A-5 is holding the ring is basket interference by the offense. Team B will be awarded the ball out of bounds on the end line for a designated spot throw-in.
