The play described below is provided for your review and discussion. The rulings given are based on NFHS rules. NCAA rulings may be different.
During the fourth quarter, A-1 is fouled attempting an unsuccessful two-point goal. A-1 is injured on the play and must leave the game. Team A has no substitutes left.
Handle the situation.
High school rules are different from college and pro rules in this situation. Any Team A player on the floor may attempt the free throws. The player who shall attempt the free throws will be designated by the Team A head coach or captain. Team B has no say in who will step to the free throw line.
