A-1 receives the ball outside the three-point line and travels with the ball. After the whistle, A-1 flips the ball to A-5 who goes to the basket and attempts to dunk the ball. The attempted dunk is unsuccessful.
Handle the situation.
The fact that the dunk was unsuccessful is not relevant. A-5 is charged with a technical foul for attempting to dunk a dead ball. While there are circumstances where it may not be clear that the ball is dead during play, that is not the case here. Since this is during the game and not during warm-ups, no indirect technical foul is charged to the head coach. The head coach retains his ability to use the coaching box.
Team B will be awarded two free throws and a designated spot throw-in from the division line opposite the table.
