The play described below is provided for your review and discussion. The rulings given are based on NFHS rules. NCAA rulings may be different.

Both teams are in the bonus.  B-1 tips the ball away from dribbler A-1.  In scrambling after the loose ball, A-1 is whistled for a foul for impeding B-1 from getting to the ball.  

Handle the situation.


Although Team B is in the bonus, team control for Team A did not end when the ball was tipped away from A-1.  Therefore, the common foul by A-1 is a team control foul.  The ball will be awarded to Team B at the designated spot out of bounds nearest the foul.

    this is a Team Control Foul, no shots. Thanks!
