During the fourth quarter, A-5 catches a pass in the low post. As A-5 pivots, her leading elbow makes illegal contact with B-5’s chin knocking her to the floor.
Handle the situation.
By rule, this is an intentional personal foul. Illegal contact above the shoulders is defined as an intentional or flagrant foul. Since this was a basketball play and the contact was not excessive or intentional, it is not a flagrant foul.
B-5 will receive two free throws. Team B will be awarded the ball at the spot nearest the foul for a designated spot throw-in.
