The play described below is provided for your review and discussion. The rulings given are based on NFHS rules. NCAA rulings may be different.
With 2.5 seconds to go in the half, A-3 launches a three-point try. B-3 gets a finger tip on the ball. The try continues in flight and the horn sounds. After the horn sounds, the ball passes through the goal.
Handle the situation.
This is a three-point goal. The touching by B-3 did not end the try. Since the try was in flight when the horn sounded, the goal counts.
