A1 is attempting to make a throw-in along the sideline. A1 releases the ball and B1 blocks the pass. A1 jumps from out of bounds and, while in the air over the playing court, taps the ball to A2.
Handle the situation.
Since A1 is airborne, his status is where he last touched the floor. Since A1 jumped from out of bounds, his status is out of bounds until he touches something inbounds. Therefore, when A1 touched the ball, A1 committed an out-of-bounds violation. Team B should be awarded the ball out of bounds nearest to where A1 touched the ball.
