A1 is fouled attempting a three-point goal. While the ball is on the ring, A5 jumps up and gets his hand tangled in the net. The ball then passes through the basket.
Handle the situation.
Because A5 had his hand in the net while the ball was on the ring, this results in an offensive basket interference violation. No goal can be scored. Since the three point try was unsuccessful due the actions of A5, A1 will be awarded three free throws.
This play illustrates the importance of understanding that an illegal act by one team does not necessarily negate an illegal act by the opposing team.
