A1 is fouled. The table indicates that it is Team B’s 10th team foul of the half. A1 misses the first free throw. At this point the table notifies the officials that Team B only has 9 team fouls.
Handle the situation.
A1 has attempted the free throw to which she was entitled. Since no team control exists at this point, the ball should be awarded to the team who has the alternating possession arrow.
This play illustrates the importance of doubling checking the team foul count when counts reach critical points such as 6 or 7 team fouls and 9 or 10 team fouls.
