On a throw-in by A1, A3 jumps from his frontcourt, catches the pass in the air and lands with one foot clearly in frontcourt. After hesitating for a moment, A3 then places his other foot down in backcourt.
Handle the situation.
This is a legal play. Under the exception to the backcourt rule, during a throw-in a player may jump from the frontcourt, catch the ball while airborne and land anywhere inbounds. It does not matter which foot comes down first.
