With 40 seconds left and with Team B trailing by two points, B-5 grabs A-5’s jersey and holds on. This play occurs away from the ball.
Handle the situation.
B-5 should be charged with an intentional personal foul. A-5 will be awarded two free throws. Team A will be awarded a designated spot throw-in from the out-of-bounds spot closest to the foul.

Too many officials are not disciplined enough to call this an intentional foul which it clearly is. Similarly, pushing and holding cutters away from the ball should be dealt with in the same way. These are intentional fouls because the defender is not playing the ball nor the offensive player according to the rules of basketball!
