A-1 is dribbling in the backcourt and passes the ball to A-2 who is straddling the division line. While straddling the division line, A-2 starts a dribble by bouncing the ball in frontcourt and then retreats into backcourt.
Handle the situation.
This is a legal play. By rule, A-2 is located in the backcourt while straddling the division line. Since A-2 had started a dribble while located in backcourt, the ball and both feet of A-2 must touch entirely in frontcourt for the ball to achieve frontcourt status. Of course, the ten-second count continues throughout this play.
