The play described below is provided for your review and discussion. The rulings given are based on NFHS rules. NCAA rulings may be different.

As time is running out in the quarter, A-1 attempts a jump shot and is fouled by B-1.  When the official sounds the horn, he sees 0.00.7 seconds left on the clock.  Time runs out and the horn sounds.

Handle the situation.


Since the official has definite knowledge of the time remaining, the referee will have 0.00.7 seconds put back on the clock.  Players will line up for the free throws and play will resume as after any free throw.
