Play of the Day #160 (2020-21)

The play described below is provided for your review and discussion. The rulings given are based on NFHS rules. NCAA rulings may be different.

A-1 has a throw-in in the frontcourt.  A-1 passes the ball to A-2 who catches it while standing on the sideline.

Where will the throw-in for Team B be?

When A-2 touched the ball, the throw-in ended.  This is not a throw-in violation.  Rather, it is a violation of causing the ball to be out of bounds.  Team B will be awarded a throw-in at the spot nearest to where A-2 touched the ball.

Very Good Play. My Question is that Team A would not lose a Alternating Possession Arrow because it is not
    a Throw- In Violation. Thanks.
