The play described below is provided for your review and discussion. The rulings given are based on NFHS rules. NCAA rulings may be different.
Team A has the alternating possession arrow. During the second quarter, A-1 is handchecked by B-1. This was Team B’s 7th team foul of the half. The scorer fails to notify the officials of the bonus situation. Team A is awarded a throw-in at the spot nearest the foul. After the throw-in, B-3 causes a held ball with A-3. At this point the scorer notifies the officials of the failure to award a bonus free throw situation.
Handle the situation.
The error of failing to award free throws has been discovered in time. A-1 will be awarded a bonus free throw situation. Since Team A has the arrow, there has been no change of team possession. Therefore, players will line up for the free throw(s) and will play off the make-or-miss. The alternating possession arrow is not switched since no AP throw-in has ended.

I just want to thank you for taking the time to make us all better officials.
That is a Very Good Play. Officials need to administer this correctly as Team A still has the Arrow
after the Play. Thanks.
