A-5 and B-5 jump in the center circle to start the game. The initial jump ball is tapped by both players up into the air. A-5 then taps the ball a second time. The official rules a violation
Was the official correct?
The official was not correct. The jumpers are permitted to tap the ball twice legally. If one of them taps the ball a third time, a violation has occurred.
