A-1 is holding the ball when he gets off balance and begins to fall. A-1 puts his hand on the floor to stop his fall. One knee touches the floor but A-1’s pivot foot remains stationary at its spot on the floor.
The official rules a traveling violation. Was the official correct?
The official was correct. Under high school rules, if any part of a player’s body touches the floor other than the player’s hands or feet, the player has traveled by rule.
