The play described below is provided for your review and discussion. The rulings given are based on NFHS rules. NCAA rulings may be different.

With time running out in the second quarter, A-1 drives into the lane, jumps and releases a try just before the horn sounds indicating time has expired.  After the horn has sounded, airborne A-1 crashes into B-1 who had a legal guarding position.  The ball passes through the basket.

Handle the situation.


Regardless of whether the ball has passed through the basket or not, the goal does not count because A-1 is charged with a player control foul. By rule, even though the horn has sounded, this play is not over until airborne A-1 returns to the floor.
