Dribbler A-1 is fouled by B-1.  It is Team B’s seventh team foul of the half.  However, the scoreboard shows six team fouls and the scorer does not notify the officials about the seventh team foul.  

Team A attempts a throw-in which is intercepted by B-3.  B-3 passes to B-1 who commits a player control foul.  After the foul is reported, the scorer notifies the officials about the missed one-and-one opportunity.

Handle the situation.

Team A has the alternating possession arrow.  A-1 and B-1 grapple for the ball and a held ball is ruled.  The Team B coach thought A-1 fouled his player and complains to the officials.  A technical foul is ruled on the Team B coach.

A-1 drives in for a layup.  The ball hits the backboard and is on its way down, above the level of the ring, outside the cylinder, with a chance to go in, when B-5 blocks the ball.

The play described below is provided for your review and discussion. The rulings given are based on NFHS rules. NCAA rulings may be different.

With time running out, Team A is down by three points. After a timeout, A-1 pops out behind a screen and launches what he thinks is a three point try. The horn sounds and the ball passes through the goal. It turns out that A-1’s foot was on the three point line and a two point goal is ruled.  After this, the coach of Team B, who had not been happy with the officiating all night, decides to scream at the officials before they leave the court. The officials rule a technical foul on the coach.
