The play described below is provided for your review and discussion. The rulings given are based on NFHS rules. NCAA rulings may be different.

A-1 attempts a three-point try.  The try is unsuccessful and A-5 hits the ball away from B-5 during the rebound attempt.  The ball heads towards the top of the key where it is deflected by A-2.  The ball strikes the floor near the division line in frontcourt.  A-1 muffs the ball in trying to recover it.  The ball goes into the backcourt where it is recovered by A-1

Handle the situation.
