At this point the scorer notifies the officials that the foul was only the 9th team foul of the half. The officials huddle and decide to award the ball to Team A under the alternating possession rule. Were the officials correct?

A-2 collides with A-5 who then releases the shot. The ball goes through the basket. Handle the situation.
