Team B is out of timeouts. Team B scores with 8.9 seconds to go to pull within two points of Team A. Team A does not pick up the ball to start the throw-in.
Handle the situation.
The official should give Team A a second to pick up the ball and start the throw-in. When this did not happen, the official should start the five-second count for the throw-in. If Team A does not release the ball on the throw-in before five seconds is reached, a violation should be ruled.
The five second count should be started once the ball is at the disposal of Team A for the throw-in.
