A-1 receives a pass while standing outside the top of the key. A-1 jumps to pass the ball to A-2 but sees that B-2 will intercept the pass. A-1 drops the ball and after it hits the floor, continues a dribble.
Handle the situation.
This is a traveling violation. A-1 has released the ball to start a dribble after his pivot foot has left the floor. If A-1 had let a teammate recover the ball without A-1 touching the ball, the play would have been legal.
