A-1 is fouled attempting a two point goal. The ball is on the ring starting to fall into the basket, when A-5 hits the ring. A-5 does not touch the ball. The ball goes through the basket.
Handle the situation.
Although A-5 did not touch the ball, A-5’s touching the ring while the ball is on the ring or in the basket constitutes offensive basket interference. No goal can be scored. Since A-1 was fouled during an unsuccessful try for goal, A-1 will be awarded two free throws.
